Jesus’ parables often concealed his message in order to reveal it. Interestingly, what’s true of the parable is also true of the story of Jesus’ life. His words and actions often confused his disciples and put-off other listeners. But, when the time was right, the message made sense.
In Christ, our lives are also parables. The good and the bad getting worked out together, creating a parable that conceals, in order to reveal, the beauty of God’s kingdom.
