Conversion is a loaded word. It means many things and conveys many different emotions. For some, conversion brings back the joy of a changed life. For others, it reminds them of being emotionally and spiritually manipulated. For still others, it reminds them of Nate Bargatze’s classic sketch, Washington’s Dream.
Conversion is at the center of our Christian faith. The Apostle Peter was converted multiple times, and Acts 10 & 11 share the story of how God used Peter to open the way for all people and all kinds of people to become followers of Jesus.
Through Peter, and others, we are reminded of an often forgotten truth: Being a Christian always means becoming a Christian, over and over again.
