Here is the second episode in our “mini-series” on baptism. In this sermon, Kelly shares part of her journey regarding baptism, especially seeking baptism for their young child. While sharing her story, she reminds us that there is one baptism regardless of the time or mode in a person’s life.
Here are two important passages speaking to our shared baptism. Enjoy!
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. ~ I Cor 12:12-14
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ~ Ephesians 4:4-6
